What do Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and Larry Alison have in common. They all made billions of dollars in technology and they all left college. Now, a wealthy bussiness man is peeing other technologicly talented young people to follow that same path.
Peter Till is peeing them to drop out or at least to stop out of higher education temporarily to work on their intrerests. He and his Till fundation just annouce the first group of what they call "twenty under twenty till follows". "We selected a people on the bases of ecomonation of having demonstrated in tense passion about science technology and having the drive to try a carrier for ..use a hand."
There are 24 people to be exact because a couple of projects involve more than one person. One of the youngest is Larry at twelve, she began researching ways to extend human life. Now, at 17, she has already graduated from math institude of technology. 18-year old Jang just finished high school. He hopes to use web tools to bring classrooms into the digital edge. He plans to attend one semasteral college before he begins his followship.
Each of the fellows will receive one hundred thousand dollars over two years to continue their research. They were also receive help from experts. Peter Till has a lot of experience with technology start of bussinesses. He help to creat the electronic payment system paypal. He was also one of first investors in facebook. He himself is graduate of xx university and xx in Califania. But Mr.Till says college has changed. "It's ..a lot more expensive ..school, a quater of century ago. And so if you look how much college cost to gong up, you know have people graduate with ..dollars.."
The Obama administration is pushing college. It's says over the next ten years, nearly half of all new jobs will require more than the high school education. But Perter Till says many young people choose college for the wrong reasons. "What ..It's true most of my peers and most people today was simply to default into it. Talented high school ..college..where education and high educaiton becomes almost this way for not thinking and avoiding thinking about what ..".
Mr.Till says the young people he is investing in are clear about what they want to do. And xx says they were gain experience to take back to school if that if what they decide to do. More than 400 people from 20 counties applied to the program. Later this year, the Till fundation plans to begin taking applications for the next group of fellows under the edge of 20.
