The plane I took landed at Adelaide International Airport at 11.30(local time) .The time difference betweenBeijing and Adelaide is aroundtwo anda half hours .So in China it's actually 9 o'clock. Anyway , 2.5 hours just slipped out of my life for it .My first feeing to Adelaide is ,so to speak ,the weather is killing me .I was sweatingfrom every pore .After a few minutes ,I was in local Customs ,where routine procedureswere completed and a small bag of beef was detained .It's no big deal for the rest of my luggage passed ,especially the medicineI took .Walking out of the lounge of airport ,I met the girl from Uni of Adelaide .Judging from her appearance ,Iassume she's an Indian girl ,withbig eyes ,heavy brown skin and special accent .She checked our identities ,gave us a welcome package and called us a cab .Anyway ,I'm grateful of 'Miss Indian' .The cab driver is an approachable man ,fifty something I guess .on the way to myflat house ,he gave us an introduction to Adelaide ,brief but useful .Besides ,he obviously had more interest in Chinese girlthan boy .Well ,it's human nature ,right ? After 30 minutes ,we arrived my house ,where I met my first roommate ,a guy from Shen Yang .To my surprise ,the house is much tidier than I expected .It's a four-bedroom ,two bathroom apartment that is basically furnitured .My bedroom ,the smallest one ,has a bed ,a closet and a dest ,compact but comfortable indeed .After one hour's fussy cleaning,I finally had time to breathe and sat in front of my comuter .
Feb 6th witnessed my arrival in Adelaide ,marking thecommence of a new life .I've no idea where the new life will lead me .But one thing is clear .I musttake it for better or worse .
