Some popular websites have protested two proposed US's laws aimed at fighting illegal copying and writing. Movies and other ..property on the internet. Wensday, Wikkipedia, the online inceclerpedia blacked out its english language website for 24 hours.

The blogging site BoinBoin and social news website Redate also went black. Eric Maton is general manager of Redate. "This really ..something ....."
Both Wikkipedia and Redate urged users to contact their congrational representitive to oppose the law. Even internet search google protested over it contiued to provide service.
The stop online parocy act and the protect interlectual propety act are known as Sobar and Pebar for short. Supporters say they are a way to fight foreign websites that's so paroted copies of American movies and music.
Steven Tep is a lawyer with the US chamber of commerce. He says parocy of books, music, movies and other forms of interlectual property hurt the economy and threaten jobs. But many online bussinesses like blogs, new sites and search engines say the laws force them to become cencers.
David Smith is with the pertomic institude for policy studies. He says the proposed laws would hurt Wikkepedia and other sites that depend on material provided by people who use the sites. He says websites would be required to police all the material they carry. The Houson Selit are expected to work on the bills in the coming weeks. But after the online protests. Some law makers have already said they have doubts about the bills.
Republican Senitor Macro Rubeal urged law makers to take more time to consider the concerns of both supporters and opponents of the bills. Obama Administration spokesman Jogn Conny said the present opposes any law that hurts freedom of expression or sercurity. On Wensday, speaker of the Houson of representitives John Baney admited there is now a lack of agreement among law makers on the bills.
